CTE Basics

Welcome to the CTE Family!

The Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) is commited to providing impactful Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs to prepare students for a meaningful life after graduation.

CTE gives your student the opportunity to begin career preparation while still in high school. Anyone can be a CTE student and access this career preparation while also earning their college-preparatory high school diploma.

Students will be engaged in quality, rigorous and relevant educational pathways that have been developed in partnership with business and industry, ensuring that they are ready for work or postsecondary education, wherever their dreams take them after high school.

This parent and student engagement series has been designed to help you fully understand how to support your student through their high school CTE journey to make sure they have access to the very best opportunities so that we can partner to help them create the very best future for themselves.

Watch the video below for an overview of CTE in EUHSD

Interested in learning more? Each year, the EUHSD hosts in-person parent engagement nights to help you understand each step of your student's journey. You can expect to:
  • review the content of this video and have a conversation with staff to answer any questions
  • enjoy refreshments as you connect with staff and industry experts to build your CTE community
  • participate in an activity to learn more about CTE and the industry pathways we provide

Our next CTE parent night on the CTE Basics will be held July 28, 2026. Click this link to RSVP: <Link>
